This is made possible because of the First Response Medical Alert Systems’ [http://www.firstresponsesystem.com/] wireless and waterproof panic button component that you or your elderly family member wears as a necklace, wristband or belt clip pendant. When pressed, the wireless panic button signals the base console from over 400ft away that help is needed. The red light above the panic button indicates successful notification with the base console.
What is the base console? It is the part of the medical alert system that remains inside the home connected to your standard telephone line. It will automatically establish communication with our central station operator seconds after the emergency panic alarm button is pushed.
The base console does allow for verbal communication between the First Response central station operator and the user. However, if no verbal communication can be established, because the elderly user is on the outside property for example, our central station operator will go ahead and call for emergency assistance immediately.
The wireless panic button feature offers personal security monitoring with added freedom because you or your elderly loved one can call for assistance in emergency situations without being confined to inside the home.
